Hey, does anyone remember a comic-book character called Bananaman?
He was this guy who wore a blue body-stocking and knee-high yellow
boots made from toughened bananaskin. In reality, he was a skinny,
nerdy sand-in-my-eye type but one day he ate a banana and discovered
these amazing new powers. I used love that cartoon. He always got
a terrible beating though. The villians were great.
I could never understand why he didn't slip in those boots though...
sorry, it's just all this talk about bananas.
BTW, just one more banana reference: does anyone know the Gary Larson
cartoon where two gorillas are in the jungle eating a huge bunch of
bananas, and one turns to the other and says "you know, George, I'm
not like the other gorillas; I really LOVE bananas. Sure the others
like bananas too but, it's more than that with me; I REALLY LOVE
bananas." I guess you have to see it yourself - cracked me up (not
that that's hard to do or anything).
