Oh, *please*, and you refer to old hat! Yes, this has been a problem in the Catholic church but it's also been a problem in scout halls, Mormon halls, Muslim halls of houses, halls of fame, what have you. I'm not what you'd call an actively practising Catholic but I do think it's unfair to look upon the Catholic Church as some den of iniquity writhing with predatory brothers and abusive nuns. Such things happened, yes - but such things happened, will happen and do happen in a lot of other places too. It's just as likely to happen in a primary school and you wouldn't spearhead all primary schools for that reason!
