Ramblings of Religion

I know someone asked earlier about how an atheist can find meaning
from art, their accomplishments, their whole life in general without a
God. First of all people have been inventing religions since the
beginning of humanity to explain what they could not understand.
People do not want to realize that their whole life depends on them
and there is no higher being that is watching over them. I get kind of
irritated when people say that they have accomplished something great
because of God. If you have created something beautiful or
accomplished something tremendous don't be modest and say that you owe
it all to God. People need to understand that they are responsible for
what they create. Anyways, a couple of days ago I visited a hare
krishna temple. It was very interesting but when I talked to someone
about the religion it seemed like the whole religion just gave answers
and explanations to why things happen on earth such as why people die
before their time, natural disasters, evil rulers, why people are
alcoholics or mentally ill, etc... I realize that all religions do
this but this religion's explanations just seemed so straight and
simple. Everytime I learn about a religion I can never take it
seriously because I can never accept it as truth, I always have some
form of disbelief. Sometimes I feel as if I should belong to some kind
of religion but then I realize that I would just be kidding myself
because I could never posess the faith.
