Bruce, I will post the url for my review and wish I could just send
along some paragraphs but here's a squeak if not amplification...

Doris Salinger remarked to Margaret that she was sad she would die
before reading more about Seymour...and she says the reason he
stopped publishing was that he can't take criticism...Margaret
believe JDS is writing his heart out every day and even mentions that
Salinger had coded his work so people would know what was finished
and what needed editing...

My guess is that he couldn't keep it together without writing so I'm
feeling pretty darn optimistic that this salinger scholar has new
work to look forward to....someday, will
