I'm jolly happy for Cecilia & Paul & all that, but
sometimes I don't know where to look. This morning
I was able to divert my attention by thinking about
    literary influences.

Isn't it strange that although the world is crammed
with limp imitations of Joyce (usually by schizophrenic
undergraduates) & even unfunnier parodies of Hemingway
    (by drunken & no-hope journalists) - I don't think I've
ever come across an attempt at Salinger in his Glass mode.

A fair number of Holden Caulfields, all right, but you'd
imagine that prolix Buddy Glass voice that beguiles so
many impressionable young minds would have spawned
    at least a few would-bes. Yet I don't think I've come
    across any.

    Anyone else?

    Scottie B.
