Oh, for chrissakes.

Andy's point was that in the American Civil Rights movement, the
peaceful protestors made their point by staying peaceful in the face of
violence. Was the violence ever acceptable? No. Not ever. But they
won by fighting with not-fighting.

Americans don't understand the why of the violent culture because we
don't live it. Violence begets violence, which is why we avoid it at
all costs. However, now it has begun.

God help us all.
