I shop obsessively at used bookstores all over NJ and NY (and some in
PA), and almost never see Salinger. There was _one_ store where I saw
two or three and thought it was a goldmine. Since his books are all
being rereleased, I suspect people just hang onto them.
You used book freaks should visit a page I set up called "Links for
Writers and Booklovers" (or something like that). Besides having good
used booklinks for online, there's a webpage out there that lets you
search independent bookstores by area:
