"The Young Folks" was published in the March-April 1940 issue of _Story_,
but that certainly doesn't mean JDS wrote it before "Go See Eddie".
Methinks there must be a slew of stories from the thirties that JDS wrote
and abandoned. (JDS says he started to write at 15.) I guess one has to
wonder if he is a hoarder of all of his manuscripts, or a writer who
destroys texts that don't meet with his approval. That room-size vault
might contain much more than the post-Hapworth work. But will we ever read
any of it?

(And, will, I agree that price was absurd.)
